Chocolate Satsumas

One of the great things about the holidays is you sit around eating indulgent things and you just don't feel like you are being indulgent, it just feels like a natural part of Christmas. As soon as satsumas and chestnuts come into season I go crazy for them, after all if you can only have something for a limited period you feel duty bound to. In fact I eat so many satsumas over winter my fingers smell permanently of oranges. The downside is they do become a little stained orange so they smell nice but with the look of a hardened smoker, which is not so nice. I love them as they come but you can always jazz things up.

For this Christmas movie snack I simply peeled a couple of satumas and then dipped them into melted dark chocolate. I left them on baking parchment until they were fully set. See simple, not all Christmas cooking needs to be complex and arduous.
