Homemade Chrismas Gift Ideas

It really is the most wonderful time of the year, my personal favourite anyway. I love the preparations and build up the most. I give a great big boo to those who poo poo the lead up to Christmas. You know the sort of folk who cannot wait for it to be over, complain when Christmas songs get played in the shops and continually talk about what a hassle the whole affair is. I used to let those people get me down, but no more moaning cannot bring me down. I simply block them out with a heavy application of Christmas tunes and get on with some crafting. I would go as far as to say those who moan should go without the fancy dinner, yummy drinks and gifts - a lump of coal in their stocking. They certainly should not be rewarded with a carefully crafted handmade gift.

I love the whole process of choosing just the right gift for those in my life that I love. Giving a handmade gift is a really great way of showing someone you love just how much they mean to you. Taking time out of our 21st century lives, the busy busy busy rat race to make a handmade gift is the perfect way to give someone the gift of time, your time. What can be more special than that?

Here are a few reminders of things from the blog that would make great gifts. Just click on the links below each image to re-visit the tutorial.

  1. Hi. How far ahead can I make this? How long will it store for? Will the taste be ok without the chilli? Ange x

    1. It will keep for a year until it is first opened. After it is first opened you need to store it in the fridge and I would say a week to 10 days.
You can omit the chilli but it is not that hot.
