So you start a blog, you post about your outfits and even make wish lists. Then you move to Paris and your sister organises tickets for the Galleries Lafayette fashion show for the launch of their Autumn/Winter collection and all of a sudden you start to feel like a real grown up fashion blogger. Here are some of my personal highlights from the show.
This section of the show was dubbed Mixologie and was an array of beautiful jewelled colours, bold patterns. With clothes from Vivienne Westwood, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren and shoes from Minelli and Eden. It made me feel right at home the way that they mixed the bold colours, and if that is the professionals are doing I must be more on trend than I ever previously thought. Textures were a major part of this portion of the show. For me autumn is heralded by the layering of clothes.
This section was called Hitch Code, I myself thought of it as the office to night out chic. Killer heels, tapered velvet trousers and sexy silhouettes. I really loved the lace back on the black silk dress. It is true and timeless the little black dress is something we can all relay on. With clothes from Red Valentino, Tara Jarmon, Just Cavalli. Shoes from Minelli and Eden.
My highlights from the final part of the show really showed that there are several ways you can get dressed for a party and it isn't aways long flowing gowns. The black and gold tapered trousers are a great example of how you can dress up whilst still remaining casual and comfortable and above all ready for the autumn/winter weather. Clothes from this section came from Burberry, Manoush, Anitik Batik and Armani.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at the beautiful clothes as much as I did.
