Hot Toddy Tea

Punch is a great way to serve alcohol at a party. However some punch recipes require so many ingredients and juices they end up costing a small fortune. My recipe for hot toddy tea gave all of the guests a tasty warming festive drink without it costing the earth. You can adjust the quantities depending on how many guests you have arriving.

Hot toddy tea

you will need;

1 litre of water
2 cinnamon sticks
6 cloves
2 cups dark brown sugar
2 tea bags (preferably not a blended tea, try Darjeeling)
1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
2 cups whiskey

method;
  1. Gently heat the water with the spices, sugar and tea until it is nicely infused. You may want to remove the teabags a little while before you drain the spices.
  2. Pour the infused liquid through a sieve to remove any bits into a jug and add the whiskey. Serve warm.

See how easy was that? I hope that you all have a fantastic Christmas. There will be new posts on here to see you through to the New Year when I have lots of new exciting projects up my sleeve.

Happy Holidays
