J'habite a paris

This is in fact a lie I still live in Yorkshire but Joe lives it up in Paris. I do occasionally escape to the apartment in Montparnasse mainly for cheese, don't tell Joe this. It is harder to make a rental property your own but luckily for me I have collected a great deal of memorabilia I thought I would share with you some images, a home tour if you will.

I cannot wait to see more personal pieces of artwork on the walls here but for now at least they are breaking up the cream walls. There is the blessing of beautiful features such as the radiators and fireplaces to give the place character and a homely feel.

My answer to everything is to fill the house with old furniture, things with a history and to make use of quirky corners such as the space in the hallway which now houses an old bureau.

I am not normally a fan of open plan but I do love the light that floods the dining area.

There is even a small study, the whole apartment has made amazing use of space.

The staircase leads down to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, well in fact the second bedroom is currently used as a second longe/occasional bedroom with a fold out sofa/bed.

I will be sharing more images and further developments next year. Wow it is that time of the year when you can say next year and it is not that far away.

Take Care
Nicolette xo
