Why I blog and other stories of hope.

There has been sometime between my last post and this one and it was due to the personal nature of this post that I struggled with the decision of publishing it.
I started to blog last November so in the blogging world Archie and the Rug is a baby. Last year I fell ill with breast cancer, that news came after I lost my baby boy to a miscarriage. It was at that point that I began to write my blog. Blogging for me was a positive outlet for me. It was a place where I could be me, I could be creative and on my blog I was not ill and I was not grieving.
In three weeks I get married to a wonderful man but we had sad news that my cancer has returned. I am now in a state where I feel writing on my blog and not talking about it feels false. I value my blog readers and I want to be honest with them. I want this blog to continue to be a positive place. A place for creativity, food and handmade goodness. I would like to say to you that we all have sadness and misfortune at times and we all struggle sometimes.
I choose to share only the positive aspects of my life with you. This is a professional platform; however for anyone who reads this and has their own personal issues take comfort in the fact that there is always light at the end of the tunnel no matter how long it may seem.
