Plan & dream

Sometimes the hope of the future is sunshine of today. There will always be hard times and upset in the world. It is more important in those times than any other to keep planning and keep dreaming. Ironically in darker times dreaming is hard to do.

My mind is full of ideas and things I want to do and my house and bags are strewn with notebooks filled with scribblings and lists. They help me keep focused and they give me something to look forward to on bad days. Having goals is one of the most important things to me.

After planning and dreaming comes the hard work to realise those dreams, be they career focused, family focused or even a road trip. There is something delicous about the hard work and exhaustion when you are working towards your dreams. Delisious and hugely fulfilling.

Try this as a task. When you finish reading this post make a list. On this list write a goal for the week, the month, the year and a long term dream/goal. Put the list up near your desk/workspace, somewhere you will see it and see how good it feels to start ticking things off!

I love to travel and saving and planning trips is hugely exciting, below are some photographs of when I was backpacking in Central America.
