Get crafty

In a time where money is tight and globalisation is taking over now is the best time to get crafty. Creating something yourself give you the chance to be unique and is hugely rewarding. Below are items that I have made myself.

A headscarf I made for little sis.

Getting crafty is an ideal time to make do and mend, up-cycle things around your home that way you do your bit for mother nature and save a few pennies.

The simple act of being creative is beneficial for a healthy mind and spirit. The creative process, regardless of the outcome is vital for a well balanced mind. As children we are encouraged to engage in a wide range of activities, as adults we stop being so well rounded. By waking up that part of our brain again we can combat stress - trust me on this I have a Masters in Sociology!

Below are photographs of a clay workshop I ran for children, they loved the tactility of the clay.

A record bag for Joe.

I saved so much money by creating my own wedding invitations.

A cot quilt I made for a friend, a handmade gift is much more personal than shop bought.
